2. Type and purpose of data processing, legal basis, storage period

In order to provide us with the above-mentioned analyses, LinkedIn processes in particular such data that you have already provided to LinkedIn via the information in your profile, such as data on function, country, industry, seniority, company size and employment status. In addition, LinkedIn processes information about how you interact with our LinkedIn company page, e.g. whether you are a follower of our LinkedIn company page. With the page insights, LinkedIn does not provide us with any individual personal data about you. We only have access to the aggregated page insights. It is also not possible for us to draw conclusions about individual members using the information in the page insights.

The purpose of the data transfer to us is the evaluation of page views and visitor numbers.

The legal basis for the associated processing of your data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. We process your data to meet our legitimate interest in evaluating the types of actions taken on our LinkedIn company pages and to improve our company pages on the basis of these findings.

The analysis data is available to us on our LinkedIn profile for one month and is then rewritten with the new analysis. We do not process or store this data elsewhere, nor do we share it.

If you contact us on LinkedIn via the comment function, we read these comments. If a comment contains a request and we respond to it, depending on the communication channel of our response, together with the response we will inform you about the associated data processing. We do not copy or save comments on our LinkedIn page.

3. Essential content of the joint controller agreement

We have concluded a joint controller agreement with LinkedIn which sets out the allocation of data protection law obligations between us and LinkedIn. The agreement is available at https://legal.linkedin.com/pages-joint-controller-addendum.

LinkedIn and we have agreed that the Irish Data Protection Commission is the lead supervisory authority overseeing processing for page insights. You always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (see at www.dataprotection.ie) or any other supervisory authority.
