MELCHERS is a partnership of attorneys with three offices in Germany: in the city of Heidelberg, which is located in the economically vibrant Heidelberg/Mannheim/Ludwigshafen metropolitan area, Frankfurt am Main, Germany's financial center and in Berlin, the capital of Germany.
We advise clients ranging from major national and international enterprises and medium-sized companies to private-equity firms, start-ups and high net worth individuals in all areas of national and international business law.
We house approximately 35 commercially-orientated attorneys, all of whom specialise in particular areas of business law. Each attorney forms part of specialised practice groups with high partner to associate ratios. This structure makes MELCHERS a full service business law firm where partners actively contribute to clients' matter, rather than merely supervise associates' work.
Our practice focuses on all areas of corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions, finance and capital markets, employment, property and construction, intellectual property and information technology law, general commercial law, insolvency, product liability and litigation. Additionally, we have special experience in specific fields such as press and media law and gaming law. Our expertise in these areas of law has been recognised in various legal publications such as Chambers and Partners and Juve.de.
In addition to their respective practice, many of our attorneys lecture at universities. They are also frequently requested to present at seminars aimed towards educating other practitioners in their areas of specialisation.
MELCHERS frequently cooperates with competent foreign law firms in advising clients on international matters. Due to the international business activities of our clients and our international orientation, we are an active member of the International Alliance of Law Firms, an international group of renowned mid-sized law firms around the world specializing in business law. This membership ensures that our clients obtain qualified advice on all matters involving foreign law.
