MELCHERS counsels and represents clients in estate settlements and execution of will, the shaping of settlement agreements, as well as representing beneficiaries and forced heirs in estate settlement disputes. 

In accord with the interdisciplinary approach of MELCHERS, particular emphasis is placed on the fiscally optimal shaping and planning of settlement agreements.  At the same time, however, we recognize that there are often many legal and factual questions beyond those concerning fiscal law which must be answered in accord with the rights of all interested parties.

Our clientele in the field of inheritance and succession law is largely comprised of individual business owners and family businesses, as well as wealthy individuals.  However, our counseling is not limited to planning for the heirs on the part of the testator, but also includes the representation of beneficiaries and forced heirs in the formation of contracts relating to the law of succession, as well as in estate settlement disputes.
